HonourI haven’t used their services in over a year, suddenly my PayPal account was charged $89.89 like 2am in the morning and I contacted their customer service same day via chat and advised I never went to your website and never made an order. Few days later I got an sms notifying of delivery, found out they still went ahead and delivered food I never ordered to an old address that I no longer live at and haven’t for over six months. I created a PayPal dispute which got rejected because Marley told me they delivered the goods so I owe them money. I told them that is unfair, they told me my accounts subscription unpaused itself but I never paused it in the first place. No matter what I told them, they didn’t want to listen or support me because they were in error and not me but they still took my money anyway.
I will never return to them and I will never recommend them to anyone else and that includes Dinnerly or any other affiliated company.
Replying to Marley Spoon:
I contacted you on June 2nd early in the morning the same day of the transaction. Your customer service chat support team ignored me. I told you that account was used by my family, and the last order ever placed with you was 23rd June 2024 and I’ve gone through a divorce last year, lost my marriage, my children, my ex wife even though the account was in my name was managed by her. I shouldn’t be at fault for your silly system. I want you to look at all the sibling dinner food service you manage and have my old accounts removed from your systems, if I find another charge from another account I will contact the bank and mark it as fraud and unauthorised. You lied to PayPal and told them I never contacted customer service but that is untrue, I did it via the online chat on Marley Spoon’s website.
You may write on the public forums that you strive to improve your services, you state you understand but you don’t do any of those things behind closed doors and you chose to ignore and charge anyway. I contacted you well before any deadline/cutoff but sadly you were just after money.
I have spoken to your customer service via email but not since this review, and in your responses you said that I had plenty of time to notify you of a problem before delivery and it’s my responsibility . I chased you up on the same day that you charged me!!! And you lied and said I never contacted you seriously, cannot trust your words, it’s not that I’m an unhappy customer it’s because I never created an order, and I don’t even know what you delivered, I don’t have any of those emails. It’s all just crap, and no it’s not in my junk folder! The last email was on 26th June, that was my inquiry, you never reached out to me first even when I created a PayPal dispute!
