I ordered a large tent from House of Tents (TOOLPORT GmbH) expecting a professional service. What actually arrived was a disaster.
The delivery came in five parcels. Three arrived first, all crushed, torn open, and clearly mishandled. Later, another damaged box arrived, also open at both ends with metal pipes sticking out. The final parcel never arrived at all and has been stuck at the DX courier hub for days.
When I reported this, the company admitted responsibility but asked me to identify which boxes I’d received and to check against the assembly instructions to find out what might be missing. That’s not the customer’s job, the seller should know what they shipped.
The damaged boxes were in no condition to repack or even move safely, and the tent is completely unusable. I needed it for the weekend and the delay made that impossible.
After pushing back, the company eventually agreed to collect the goods and issue a refund, but it took multiple emails and far too much effort for what should have been a straightforward delivery.
The whole experience has been extremely poor, both in terms of packaging and aftersales handling. I wouldn’t risk ordering again from this supplier.
