A cover for a wooden geodesic dome I produced and sell to a customer in Portugal had to be transported from Lithuania to Portugal. To the producer of the cover was told that it would take five days. I drove from the Netherlands to Portugal with the assumption that the cover would arrive shortly after my arrival. That wasn’t the case. The track & trace showed that the arrival was planned for the 29th of June which was too late for me. I left the 24th and to my surprise I learned that the cover had arrived t the 26th. Short story: if your delivery is time critical avoid Raben as much as possible. My story is identical to many of the other posted reviews about Raben. Below is the e-mail conversation I had in which Raben denies me the right to discuss the situation wishing me good luck with resolving the problem they created and cost me € 740,-

It was my order the transport was booked for and I’m the one paying the € 740,- extra costs. Before I left Portugal I checked your track & trace system. It told me that the arrival was still planned for the 29th of June. I was very surprised to hear that the cover arrived two days after I left Portugal. If I would have knew that at the day I left I would have stayed for two extra days and saved me the money of hiring local people to do the job for me. You can not blame the company that actually booked the transport, for an out of phase with reality track & trace system. It is not an accident, at Truspilot the same story can be read over and over again. You accuse a trusted and longtime business partner of lying to me and I don’t believe that that is the case. This unpleasant situation will not be resolved and you know that. The reason is that what happened is in line with the modus operandi of Raben resulting in an extremely low score (1,7 out of 5) at Trustpilot. I’m sure most of the goods Raben transport arrive sooner or later. In case the arrival is time critical it is a great gamble to do business with Raben, for me resulting in extra costs of € 740,- unless Raben takes its responsibility and comes with a proposal to settle this.
